Three (3) of our cousins, Zinnerford Smith, Louis Smith and Hosea Smith (brothers), were on a mile relay team in Jersey City that had the fastest time in the nation at the high school level. The 4th member of the Relay Team was Dickie Sims. Congratulations to the first of our cousins to excel in athletics, or any endeavor, at this national level. Their achievements inspired the Author to want to follow in their footsteps.
